UNSA's Editing Intern assists the Media Officer in editing articles for both Opus Magazine and Opus Online. They also help research ideas for future articles that may be of interest to students, and produce content of their own.
Hi, I’m Steph and I’m the Editing Intern/Junior Editor for the UNSA student magazine, Opus! I’m currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English and Writing, with a future PhD in Creative Writing and Graduate Certificate in Editing and Publishing both on the table.
As the junior editor, I am responsible for assisting the Media Officer compose, compile, and edit Opus magazine. I like to write about the arts, especially how students and young people engage with media, such as books, music, and games. I love getting excited with my peers about their projects and hope to bring this passion for creation into the student media space. If there’s anything you’re dying to see reflected in Opus, please reach out to me!
I work and study at Callaghan Campus but on my days off I live on Darkinjung land, on the Central Coast. You can usually find me running along the beach, prowling my local op shops, or snuggled up on my lounge with a book. In my spare time, I like to write, read, watch, and play anything fantasy, and reorganise my bookshelves for the thousandth time.
